Revelation: The Moment of I and Thou

The shiur explores Rosenzweig’s dialogical philosophy, one that is similar to Martin Buber. We become who we are in relation to others. Our relationships define us and transform our lives. For Rosenzweig, revelation is a moment of encounter between the I and Thou when the love of the Thou is answer by the I. The Torah reflects the attempt to translate this ephemeral moment and make it something more permanent.
