Halakha: Everything, Nothing, or Something?

Rosenzweig eschews the all or nothing approach to halakha which dominate modern Jewish life- that one must keep all the mitzvot or that one not need keep any of them. The approach of “everything” demands that the baal teshuvah sacrifice all of themselves while the approach of “nothing” thinks religious life requires no sacrifice at all. For Rosenzweig, the authentic Jewish approach is “something”.
