The Necessity of the Law

This shiur explores the argument between Martin Buber and Franz Rosenzweig about both revelation and the law. For Buber, revelation does not bring law and therefore to submit to religious law would be a great error. For Rosenzweig, revelation always conveys commandment, and the law is our only way to retrieve the experience of commandment once more.
